The Lusaka National Museum conducted a children's educational project of documenting traditional foods within Lusaka and Chongwe areas. The aim of the study was to educate the children on the value of traditional foods to the Zambian everyday way of life and the need to promote it. Eighty (80) children participated in the project in which tours to markets and rural villages of Chongwe were conducted.
The following were some of the outputs of the initiative:
